House of the Future at University of Aveiro: The Project
The House of the Future at University of Aveiro (UA CdF) Project aims to establish multidisciplinary R&D teams from University of Aveiro to participate in the conception and construction of the House of the Future demonstration unit, whilst promoting their synergies and their own internal dynamics.
The Project UA CdF has the following goals:

Identify all research opportunities, taking into account the know-how and interest of the university research units and the needs of the companies; |

Stimulate the creation of multidisciplinary and applied research projects, focused on specific research areas related to habitat; |

Provide the opportunity to test and observe the phenomena related to innovation and development of products and processes. |

Make available to the wider academic community unique opportunities to learn about dynamizing and managing industrial cooperation networks and from the mix of academic and industrial knowledge management. More details... |
This project (UA CdF) is the result of a successful cooperation between companies from the habitat field (currently 12) and the University of Aveiro. This cooperation started with a university program aimed to develop the regional industry, sponsored by the Portuguese Ministry of Economy, but took specific shape around the idea of building together a House of the Future demonstration unit. The project was named House of the Future (ProjCdf), and its concept has an impact on the University itself. More details...
